Welcome to Dimensions of Learning
“Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it.”
It’s Time To Invite Others To Our Open House/Informational Meeting…
Do you know a family that might be interested in sending their child(ren) to Dimensions next school year? Well now is the time to invite them to the annual Open House & Informational Meeting to be held on January 15th, 2015. All attendees can listen to a brief presentation by Mrs. Pearson, tour the building, receive information and an application and have their questions answered during this event. Spaces are limited to any open spaces for the 2015-16 school year. A lottery will be held in February to determine the order for “offering a placement” in those open spaces that may be available.
THIS IS THE TIME to get your questions answered and applications in!
2015-2016 New Student Applications Available
Attend an Informational Meeting on January 15, 2015 at 6:30pm
Deadline for Submitting Applications is Friday, January 30th, 2015
The Dimensions of Learning Academy Kindergarten Class is currently collecting non-perishable food items and toiletries for the local food bank. Winter is a particularly difficult time of the year for everyone, but especially so for those in need of basic necessities like warm meals, winter clothing (socks, mittens, hats, etc.), and health and hygiene products too.
Please consider making a donation to this year’s collection efforts!
Send your generous donations with your student or drop them off outside the Kindergarten classroom anytime from now until Winter Break on December 19th, 2014.
Students at Dimensions will box all the donations and staff will work with volunteer truck drivers from the food bank to deliver to the local bank over break.
Let’s work together to show our children the strength there is in our numbers and develop civic leaders for the future! Happy Holidays and thanks to everyone for your support of this annual event.
Put On Your Dancing Shoes
January 23rd, 2015 is the annual sock hop known as Dancing Through the Decades at Dimensions. Come for the food, fun, dancing and festivities from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The dance is free for all Dimensions of Learning Learning Community.
Kids can start the day by dressing up like a favorite decade (50’s, 60’s, 80’s or try 1920) during the school day on Friday and then everyone can show up for the evening event, sponsored by our very own Kloiber family as they DJ fun music from all the decades including some old favorite sock hop games like hula hoop contests, limbo, and conga line dancing. Come join us for an evening of family fun and community! Hope to see you and your family Dancing Through The Decades!!!!
School Mission- Our mission is to nurture students so that they learn to think for themselves. They will be encouraged to do their own research, analyze what they have found, and come to their own conclusions. We are committed to teaching students to think, not simply to memorize and then forget. They will learn how to learn, discovering that the process of learning can, and should, be as natural as breathing.
