Hoops and Jump Rope For American Heart Association Begins

Students were given packets about the 2015 Hoops for Heart (6-8th grade) and Jump Rope for Heart (1-4) event in the February 3rd Take Home Folder.  This is a wonderful all school event which supports the American Heart & Lung Association.

Students can enlist family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them to jump or shoot hoops for donations.  All donations go directly to the American Heart & Lung Association and support education and public awareness about heart health and programs.

Parents can get involved by volunteering as supervisors for the days events.  Look for the sign up list in the packet as well.

Events are scheduled for Thursday February 19th and Friday February 20th.  All classes will participate during their normal P.E. classes.

Here’s to HEALTHY HEARTS this Valentines Day!!

   School Mission-

Our mission is to nurture students so that they learn to think for themselves. They will be encouraged to do their own research, analyze what they have found, and come to their own conclusions. We are committed to teaching students to think, not simply to memorize and then forget. They will learn how to learn, discovering that the process of learning can, and should, be as natural as breathing.

“A mind once stretched, never returns to its original dimensions.”
